Mia and Fenway sure have been having a lot of fun lately. They are little buddies. We had to drop Fen at the groomers the other day and Mia had a fit, she didn't like leaving him somewhere other than home. Some days I wish we weren't tied down with a dog, but then there are times like this and it makes me very happy to have him.

Mia Turns Two
Today is 2 years since the best day of my entire life-- Mia's birthday!!! It has gone by SO fast- I am in shock. It's crazy to think 2 years ago right now I was laying in the hospital and waiting for the Doc to arrive so I could begin pushing. I started pushing at 11:10pm and she arrived at 11:35pm. Mark and I didn't get to sleep until 4:30am that night, we were so overjoyed.
Tonight we had some Dora cake that I spent almost all day making (my first time obviously). We are having her birthday party (pool party) with her best friend Sydney Taylor on July 12th, so that hopefully Mark will be home and so that we can take advantage of our last time we will be able to do a duo birthday party. They both love Dora, so that will be our theme. I am attaching some pics that we took today that we are going to use for the invitations. Tomorrow is her last day of swimming lessons and then we are going to spend the day with Sumer, Hannah, & Sydney going thrift shopping, to ToysRUs, and starting to pick some things for the party.

Swim Lessons
Mia started her swimming lessons this week. She is taking 30 minute sessions for 5 days one on one with instructor Nancy. The first day she was happy for the 1st 15 minutes which soon turned to crying when Nancy started putting her under water. Tuesday's lesson started out a little rocky, she cried when she saw Nancy but by the end of the lesson she was all smiles. Today's lesson went great- she walked right over to Nancy and was ready to swim, she didn't cry at all, and even grooved to the music in the pool. She swam to the second step (a deeper step) to get a rock! She is doing really great- hopefully tomorrow will be as good or even better than today!
Mia 23 months
Mia is really getting big and her vocabulary is even bigger. She is such a nut! She loves animals and is a huge Diego fan at the moment. Today she asked me to rescue a blue humpback whale that was stuck in a net, in other words one of her bath toys is in the toy bag in the tub. Haha!

Trip To Atlanta
Last week we ventured to Atlanta, GA for Mark's golf tournament. The trip was exciting because I was going back to my old stomping grounds where I graduated college, and I would be getting to see my old friends. We went to the Georgia Aquarium which was really wonderful. Mia had such a great time, until Wednesday night she came down with the croup and we ended up going to the hospital. She had a breathing treatment and was doing much better so they sent us home. She was on a steriod for 2 days and they were 2 of the worst days ever! She had a major case of "roid rage"! One minute she would be hysterically laughing and the next would be bawling uncontrollably. We made it through it, Mark had a great week- they came in 5th, I got to see Dame, Kelly, & Holly which was awesome, but we were very happy to get home.

Funny Video
I have been going through Mia's old videos and I would like to start posting the ones that were too big to send via email. This one is from Mia's 13 month, when she was really starting to cruise around and talk. Mia loves watching this one- the trip makes her crack up every time!
